Born in Madrid around 2010, PATAX is led by percussionist Jorge Pérez — Berklee College of Music alumnus
and member of the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute under Danilo Pérez, Joe Lovano and John
Patitucci.
Drawing from the legacy of Weather Report, Irakere, Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, Snarky Puppy and Paco de
Lucía, PATAX takes 'Fusion' into unexplored territory — where flamenco, funk, jazz and Afro-Cuban folklore
combine with extraordinary virtuosity, finding followers across five continents. Their latest album 'Us' (2024) is
a collection of original songs recorded live, passing before the audience like a tasting menu of the band's
world.
