Marianne James is a jazz musician. She holds a degree in musicology at the Sorbonne and won the first singing prize at the National Conservatory of Paris in 1980. Since 1989, Marianne James is known for her character Maria Ulrika Von Glott in the show "L ' Ultima Recital ", for which she won a Molière for the best musical show in 1999.
