'INKALA' the new album!

12 tracks, a mix of original compositions and Armenian folk songs adapted by André Manoukian, in a Jazz trio.
Similar to modern jazz trios (The Bad Plus, E.S.T, Avishai Cohen etc), this one stands out with its use of traditional Armenian singing and the caracteristical blue notes. This combination results in a moving album, shaded by an oriental spleen, where simple and touching melodies coexist with harmonious improvisations.
