Zap Mama is the Grammy-award winning group founded and fronted by Marie Daulne. Since the early 1990’s, Marie has spent her life crossing continents and winning the hearts of thousands of fans, while introducing her Afropean musical heritage to the world and uniting musical cultures through the wonders of voice, music and dynamic performance. Zap Mama has released six albums over the last 15 years, 3 of which peaked at #1 on the Billboard World Music charts. Marie has collaborated with Erykah Badu, Sergio Mendes, Tony Allen, Common, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, among many others.

Zap Mama’s new album, ReCreation, will be released worldwide on May 26th, 2009 via Heads Up International/Concord Music Group, and will feature a guest list of high-profile vocalists including Bilal, G. Love, and actor Vincent Cassel (La Haine, Ocean’s Twelve).
